Four year a avy lieutenant, he had erved as as i tant to the dean at hi alma mater, the University of Kansas ity, before coming here in 1946. Elizabeth S. Mi s Plankinton came here in 1946 a Women's Coun elor, and became Director of tudent Per onnel in 1948. Before that he had been a co-ed at the Univer ity of Oregon, and a SPAR en ign in Wa hington. She received her master's degree in per onnel from Syracu e - ha i Is from Oregon- parks our campus activities and ocial life with their fabled informality. John W. The af– fable Mr. Scelsi returned to hi native Endicott in 1949 ro ee to it that the world hears from us in print and on the air waves. Before that, he more or les made the grand tour, global style-getting his A.B. at Louisiana tate Univer– sity ... spending four year in the Pacific as a Marine Captain . . . working three years as a U of– ficial in virtually every country in Europe. He cut hi journali tic teeth on the LSU Pel Mel/, and it now devolves upon him to guide the a orted ooth sayers, oracle and bactotums who made up the taff of the Colonill/ 1 ews.
