Behind the combined pitching of Hub Stevenson and Joe PassabeL, the Green-lidders easily downed Bucknell Jr. College in the operung game 13-1. Harry Barouth was the big gun of the attack with two hits that started a remarkable streak. The stocky slugger did not fail to get at least one hit in every game of the season. Svracuse lost two to the ~1aroon in a home and home seri~s with the 1anlius game sandwiched in between. Passabet ·won both the games with the Orange with plenty of support from his hardhitting ma{es. Barouth, Swartz and the man behind the mask, Ed Van Loan, all got a total of five hits in the two games. The first game was won by a 21-3 score and the second played at yracuse was a little clo er, but ended 10 to 6.
