KENDO CLUB Kendo is the ancient Japanese martial Art of fencing; Literally translated the work mean "the way of the sword" or "sword manship." It is also a study of the mind be– cause the Japane e F'endal Knight-the amura -be– Lieved that a body, no matter how finely trained, is of no alue unless the mind i trained to a similiar peak. Kendo is an excellent phy ical-conditioning course, an active introduction into Japane e culture and way of thought- "mind over matter" a well a a course in per- onal ethic . It require of the fencer- patience and humility -the cornerstones of character building; though it incorporation of much of the "Zen" philosophy, it offers the student- a chance to evaluate himself from totally new points and finally, it inculcates honor- cour– age- loyalty- veracity, and above all el e- patience!
