ALEX WALKER BILL WARNE BOLSA - ORANGE Orange Panther met Bolsa Grande Matador in a foot– ball game al Chapman College. This was the third Free– way League game for both teams with the Panthers claim– ing victory over the Matadors 27-6 . The Panther were fighting extra hard for thi was their Homecoming. The \llatadors won the toss and elected to receive. Panther place-kicker Ron \1ar ile kicked off to Matador halfback Randy Wil on who was tackeled on the 50 yard line. Panther quarterback Tom Gunther tarted the scoring with a 17 yard run up the middle to go for ix points. To add another point to the Panther ide, place-kicker Ron \1ar ile kicked a ucce sful field goal to put the Panther in the lead 7-0. In the second quarter, to put the \llatador on the coreboard, quarterback Rudy olen threw a 25 yard pass to halfback Randy Wil on to go for ix points. ow putting the Panthers ahead by a larger margin , quarterback Tom Gunther ran the ball 25 yards to put them in the lead 13-6 in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter Panther quarterback Tom Gunther again ran 15 yards for a touchdown. Panther place-kicker Ron \1arsile kicked another successful field goal. To add another coring for the Panthers quarterback Tom Gunther thre\ a 10 yard pa to backer Ron \1arsile to go for the Ia t touchdown of the game.
