East sophomore fights for tip as East ploys Manual East High Sophomores Share Basketball Crown Under Coach Craig, this year's team was city co-champs, sharing the honors with Man– ual. There are six games scheduled with the sophomore teams of the other high schools. Of these, East won the first four and lost the last two to Manual and South which resulted in their sharing the title with Manual. Members of the East high sophomore bas– ketball team must play at least nine quarters of league play to earn a numeral in the sport. The team consists of sophomores who haven't played enough ball to be on the Junior squad but are working hard every week to try to make the Junior or Varsity squad for next year. 117
