In their first round league games, which consisted of seven innings each, the Angels beat North and West but lost to South and Manual. In pre-season competition, the team com– piled a record of three wins and two losses. Coach Myron Craig has ten returning let– termen to bolster the squad, led by Public League AII-Stors Pot Moriarity, Gory Long– sine, and Bob Howsom. Going into the second round of competi– tion, in which the games ore nine innings each, the baseball team is two games out of first place. Should the team win their lost four games, they would probably qualify for a berth in the state tournament, to be held May 27 and 28.
