The club fulfills its purpose by engaging persons prominent in the field of mathematics to speak. Among the outstanding speakers dur- ing the past year were Professor W. E. Brittin of the Department of Physics at Colorado Uni– versity and Professor W. E. Briggs of the De– partment of Mathematics at Colorado Univer– sity. The members of the club also increase their mathematical ability by participating in inter-club discussions and by reading texts and pamphlets from the club library.
