Jensen Coordinator Extended Session Now in Second Year at East With East in its second year of extended session, the administrative staff has become more important than ever. Mr. Sam Waldman, in his fourth year as principal of East high school, has provided excellent leadership and guidance to faculty members and students. Serving together, Mr~ Jack Beardshear and Mr. Philip Serafini held the position of assist– ant principal. Mrs. Mary Moore and Mrs. Doris Vinyard worked together as deans, and through them, girls received di~cipline and guidance. Mr. George Jensen and Mr. Oscar Marinoff shared the position of co-ordinator. They aided teachers in choosing their class– room materials and their means of presen– tation. Dr. Lawrence Knolle assumed the duties of college counselor. This called for confer– ences with students as well as their parents, concerning colleges and College Board exam– inations. He also arranged meetings for i~ter­ ested students with representatives from col– leges through0ut the nation. Although East has been on an extended schedule, the administrative staff has helped keep the school united. 13
