Although few seniors hove assigned lunch periods, the lunchroom is still o popular place for students to talk with their friends. Faculty Duties Extend Beyond the Classrooms Generally, most students acquire the mis– taken 1deo that a teacher's work .ends in the classroom. Teachers participate in extra activ– ities which ore as time consuming as teaching and equally as important. Club sponsorship is one duty which is voluntary. Without these sponsors many of the extra-curricular activities of the students would not be possible. Their duties include being present at all meetings and accompany– ing students on all club excursions. The privilege of presiding as "honored guests" at school dances, is bestowed upon other fortunate members. This entitles them to hove their names in print on the bid, to free dancing or to sit patiently for the duration of the dance. Listed above ore only a few of the faculty duties which extend beyond the classroom. There ore more, many of which the students toke for granted. 35
