Arousing Spirit }V Cirls Take Their jobs Seriously How would you feel if you had to go through grueling practices and cheer at games for over 80 minutes? Julie Creamer, of the Junior Varsity Cheerleading squad, was able to get past all of that and say, "It's hard work and sometimes we get tired, but the rewards are worth it! " Paula Howell expressed similar feelings when she said, " Cheering helps me to keep a positive outlook on life ." Courtney Hall was another cheerleader who loved to cheer. Her favorite aspect of cheering was her interaction with others. She explained, " I really enjoy the crowd." Ms. Kelly, the squad's sponsor, had high hopes for her future JV squads. She commented, "It sure would be nice if some "I enjoy working with the girls and the challenge of helping them to improve!" -Ms. Kelly "Cheering helps me to keep a pos– itive outlook on life. I also enjoy getting the crowd involved in the game." - Paula Howell guys went out for the squad ." All the girls were veterans to the sport of cheerleading. Paula started at her old school, and Julie had been cheering since the fourth grade . Even Ms. Kelly had some cheering in her background. The girls learned a great deal by being a part of the JV cheerleading squad . Paula commented, " Anything worthwhile, is worth working for." "Most of all, I have learned how much that I enjoy coaching! I enjoy working with the girls and I enjoy the challenge of helping them to improve!" Ms . Kelly explained.
