This year, the JV Football team suffered many hours of practice and sweat to achieve those things. "The team is led by captains Airion Bradley, Shaun Woodard, and Ron Wright. These kids lead by their actions rather than their words," expressed Coach Chane Beam. These boys, along with Bobby Thompson, were also the key players on the field, according to the coach. Although the team did not win as many games as they would have liked, most of the losses were due to misfortune and minimal mistakes. The team focused on its strong point which was defense and worked on its inexperienced offensive line. With only five or six returning players, many freshmen had the opportunity to play. With an extra year of playing, the teammates would be able to become stronger and mature emotionally. The team united and worked together. "These are good kids, I enjoy being with them, that is the best part about being out on the field," stated Coach Beam. This season gave these players a feel for football and they gained experience for their further endeavors in the game. -Stephanie Todd JV Football/Sports • 131
