gave them a chance to help the community, like a service club. The NHS members were required to do two hours of tutoring for every six weeks. "There is a list of our names and which subjects we are the best at and if a student needs help, they can look at the list and call one of us to tutor them," explained senior Daniel Stone. Although these students were recognized for their excellence academically, most of these students were involved In numerous other extracurricular activities, which shows not only their dedication to their studies, but also to their school. "These kids really have something to be proud of. They are involved in so many other activities, and are still able to keep up their grades," stated the sponsor for the senior NHS members, Mrs. Sandra Figley. From their studies to their activities, obviously these NHS members had their priorities in order. Even if the NHS was only a high school club, with grades like these, these students proved that they were capable of success. - Melanie Cordier Above: Not afraid to ask for help.
