Queens of the jungle and wild west cowboys abounded at the annual Homecoming Activities Night. As "SPHS went wild," so did the clubs as they participated in the exciting events. "I guess since it was my first Activities Night, I wasn't expecting so many people to get involved," stated freshman Shannon Domeier. "The absolute biggest shock was the amount of effort the clubs put into this one night." The alphabet relay measured the speed and accuracy of each club. The Keyettes came out on top as winners in the relay, while their brother club, Key, took first place for their Jungle banner. Another artistic feat was accomplished by the Rojans In the Door Left: Around and around •he goe•. And now "What's going to happen when I try and stand up?" says Trol Owens. Decorating Contest. Last, But not least, was the obstacle course. Spectrum member Laminka Williams received the first place rank. "I thought by far that the obstacle course was the best club activity!" exclaimed senior Marc Kennedy. "It kept everyone laughing, especially when the people went around the bat." Coming up with ideas for each event, and making sure the night ran well was the job of Student Council. STUCO accepted the responsibility of organizing each event.
