For the Exchancgett.es .•.. It Was a Year of Change What would you usually be doing Saturday morning around 7:00 am? While you were sleeping, the Exchangettes were building and painting for families that were homeless. Habitat for Humanity was a new service project the girls participated in this past year. "Everybody really enjoyed the time we spent building the homes and loved the feeling we had at the l ' en,.{l of the day,': explained Ashley Cantrell. The holiday season was a busy time for the members. Th~y J:telped distribute toys at the Christmas Toy Shop. The most fulfilling projects were the Trips to Nina Harris Exceptional Education Center. In December, the Hero and President dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus and spread holiday cHeer to the students. "The trips to Nina Harris helped the - h«mdicapped £hlldren enjoy the spil"it of Christmas. They got so excited when they saw us coming," said Libby Dale. The members were also very excited about all the positive changes that took place in the past year. When Amanda V:anBurger was·asked about the changes, she replied, "There was a great deal of unity, much more than all the years oefore, and tHere was extreme organization." When Barbara Bradbury was asked to describe the ~lub, she 'needed mc;;r~ than just a few words, "Exchangettes Is a very fun-loving and enthusiastic dub. J .Everyone · willing to do projects. There is definitely a strong bond between the members." Amanda agreed, "I'm so glad I joinep this club.
