The seats were available for a fee of $100. 428 • Closing/School Review Coming Together To Celebrate . .. In May of 1991, eleven years after renovations were begun, we were still in the process of getting our own " Brand New Look." When the school year started, we were excited about the opening of the theatre, but we were far from being free of hassles . Losing whole wings to construction made it difficult to go on with life as usual, but we somehow managed. We looked have been hard for us all, but it wouldn't have done any good to complain." We were pleased however, with the myriad of improvements. "The courtyard looks stupendous," said Michelle Dilley, who was glad ' 'J be a senior to take advantage of the changes. "I'm also glad that our moveup assembly was going to be in the auditorium instead of the gym," she said. Adrian Davis, retired teacher, were both very interested in that particular project and headed up that committee. Pamphlets were created and many alumni members took advantage of this opportunity. "I was glad to have a plaque in my name," said Mr. Davis. "I spent over 30 years in this institution, and I like the thought that a part of me is still here." ing Another Chapter forward to the day when we could bid Hennessey Construction Company a fond farewell. "It'll be unbelievable when everything's done," said Mr. Reyburn, Assistant Principal handling the reconstruction . "Imagine how nice it will be when we can actually open school with everyone in their own space," he said. "These past years A long tradition of seniors at SPHS was to sell elevator passes to incoming freshmen. We could no longer do this because, finally we did have an elevator. The auditorium seats got a new look as well. Small brass plaques were engraved and placed on the backs of the chairs for a fee of $100. Ms . Susan Cooper, our Instructional Specialist, and Mr. As we prepared to move up or move on, we realized that a part of each of us would be fixed in St. Pete High history. Whether or not our name rested on the back of a chair, we would be remembered for our dedication, our patience, and our helping hands . - Cara Capucci •
