Students Express Their Opinions as the Senior Survey Tells All If you wanted to know us better, you could consider what we liked best. After school and on the weekend we stepped into a world of choices. We discovered a few brand new looks styled for the 1990's, and rediscovered old favorites from years ago. At the movies, Pretty Woman was the best film story. One of its stars, Julia Roberts, captured our hearts as the finest actress. Her great form was the formula that made us open our wallets at the box office. The actor we watched most closely, Christian Slater, played unusual roles with witty charm. On film, he made us laugh and also wonder about the society around us. On television, we watched In Living Color for the weekly helping of high-stepping dance routines and the hilarious satire by talented comedians. When we drove to our favorite hangout - a friend's house- we would have liked to drive a sporty, sassy Mazda Miata. Its perfectly– pitched engine would have sounded great under Faith No More by Epic, the song we called # 1. The hot car and cool music took us to the best chilitos and burritos at Taco Bell, where the fast food spiced up our lives. More than any burger or chicken place in town, that south-of-the-border taste kept us driving through to the pick-up window. A night or rainy day at home still meant, sometimes, a good book and favorite tape or compact disc. F. Scott Fitzgerald took us to some wild parties when we read The Great Gatsby. The class of 1991 makes their list of "picks and pans" for the year. the Rye was another favorite for most of us. Too bad the characters couldn't hear our music by Depeche Mode, a modern sound for this year's ears. Although we had to work around our hectic schedules, we managed to create some time for ourselves.
