SOPHOMORES itting in the middle seat on their journey through high school are the ophomore , the Cla of 1962. They relaxed a little thi year and eemed to think, "Well, I'm halfway through, only two more year to go." But it wa n't all relaxation and fun for them; they till had a lot of tudying to do. They continued their qu t for knowledge through uch ubjects as cond year algebra, language II, and world hi tory. They al o got their. fir t ta te of hake peare when they tudied "Juliu Ceasar" in their Engli h. Many of the boy he· came ROTC cadet. But neither was this a year of all tudy for the ophomores. They worked and gave of their time and energy to the variou club and organization around the school. They elected their cia officers and also their tudent Council representatives, and gave their upport to the tudent Council program. This year wa al o a very pecial one for some of the ophomore in that they were at Ia t able to get their driver ' license . They looked forward to that for a long time. To orne of them it meant a little added pre tige for them among their fellow students, but for mo t it wa a ymbol, a ymbol that they were finally growing up.
