This staff write and compiles the government newspaper which is issued to tudent of that cour e and to these tudying American history. The e students are in the third and fifth period classes o( Miss Mary Fort. This is just one of many projects carried on to make the cour e more interesting and to put government into action. The e words highlighted the theme of the first Cohop published this year by the third and fifth period government cla se taught by Mi Mary Fort. There has been a Cohop staff compo ed of com· mittees responsible for pecific jobs such as gathering new , designing front cover and typing, since 1920. shering in the new year, members issued a paper en– titled "Ring in the ew" which included articles con– cerning resolutions and the history of New Year's cu - toms, past and pre ent. With the meeting of the Georgia State Legislature in January, the staff decided to publi h a paper on "Getting to Know Your Congre smen Better." Information was gathered by students who had per onal interviews with the Georgia repre entatives. During the last weeks of school before summer vacation, there was an issue highlighting good citizenship throughout the holidays and throughout life as a citizen. ( 159 )
