Baldwin High School 1961 Yearbook (Milledgeville, GA) - Guest Access

"The state capitol in Milledgeville, a century ago, had been the battle ground of many stormy s e s s i o n s, but none to equal that of January 16, 1861, when the most distinguished group of Georgians ever to assemble gathered there to act on secession. Approximately 300 men took action there which declared Georgia's "sovereignty and independence ..." The 1961 Legend staff would like to preserve in tangible form the memories of your school activities. It is our wish that your years at Baldwin will be as treasured as the secession story is to the people of Baldwin County.
