FRESHMAN CLASS First Row: Mrs. Grant (homeroom teacher) , Thvight J a smann, Orlo Eimen, Gilbert Garrett, Rolyn Baack , Robert Knock, Marvin Bigbee, Gary J acobi, Edwin Houser. Second Row: Richard Hawkins, Laurel Haas, Eugene Buswell, Dick Guehrn, Howa rd Emerson , Eleanor Haman , Lois Jacoby, Burnetta Johnson, Sylvia Beer, Kathleen Gleason, Joanne Disterhoft. HISTORY • The Freshman class dates back to August 28, 1950, when 48 young and "ambitious" students trotted off to M.H.S. However, several left and we now have 43, many of whom are from the country. Five are in band . They are: Joanne D., Kay G., Nancy L., Dwight J., Normans. Connie M., Joanne D., Eleanor H., Colleen L., Nancy L., and Alice T. are in Girls' Glee Club. The boys in Boys' Glee Club include: Rolyn B., Orlo E., Gilbert G., Dwight J., and NormanS. Out of these, four are in Mixed Chorus: Orlo E., Gilbert G., Dwight J., and NormanS. Those on the girls' basketball squad are Joanne D., and Shirley M. Dick G., Bob K., Chuck M., and Allen M., are on the boys' squad. any of the girls are in F.H.A., G.A.A. and Pep Club. Our float won first prize on Homecoming Day. Sometime in the near future we will present a play entitled, "Wild Cat Willie Has Girl Trouble."
