Our Homecoming started with a skit with a background of the "Showboat". Among the entertainments were solos by several students and these consisted of "St. Louis Blues", and "Can•t Help Loving That Man of Mine". A high point of the skit was a Cake Walk which was a negro dance that was delightful to watch as well as being hum– erous. The crowning of the royalty was followed by a parade through town led by the High School marching band. That night the football team went all out to add to the festivities by defeating Brooklyn 40 - o. The dance which followed was well attended and enjoyed by all.
