Charlie Allphin Burgess Goes Out With A Big Bang Many who saw "The Music Man" sold It was an excellent production . To put on such a play. much work was put Into it. Ms. Brown and Mr. Simpson were vital to the production for their work on music and choreography. The cast members gave up many other activities to make the play a success. Most Important was the director. Mr. Burgess. who put In many long hours. going over many scenes and songs doz– ens of times to make his last production his best. Most agree that he succeeded. They put on two wonderful productions. both which drew large crowds . The audience laughed at the hilarious "Grecian Um" and cried when Marian and Harold finally got together. The production was a hit and Mr. Burgess went out with a "Big Bang. " Lesley Raisor, as Maude, practices the Grecian um.
