Lending Hand T. J. Perkins and Jason Carrico traveled to Florida to help repair homes that were hit by the hur– ricane. They had to apply to go by filling out applications and then being interviewed. After being chosen to go, they had many fundraisers such as: car washes and the raffling of a television set. The government also helped by paying for the two vans used for transportation. The group was there for two weeks rebuilding homes, trailers, and moving furni– ture . The trip wasn't fun-filled be– cause it was an important and se– rious project, but Jason and T. J. were glad to go and help those who were in need. 17
