ARecord Breaking Season This year, the mighty Panthers pro– duced a record breaking season. They successfully broke 11 records and tied two. These accomplish– ments were due to the determina– tion and ability of Air Attack '92. Pat– rick Sapp, Mike Dunlap, and Lance Carr were honored with holding the new records. These long standing records were not easily broken. One of the longest was the career passing yards held by Pat Smith from 1978-1981 with 4,893 yards. Patrick Sapp broke this record by 859 yards.
