With a 26-4 ecord Varsity Baseball Wrap-up The 1984 Varsity Baseball Tearn finished the season with a 26-4 record. The only losses came to the Spartans in the tournaments, with the only dis– trict loss to Lee High. The highlight of the season came with a win over the St. Amant Gators to clinch the District Championship and end the regular sea– son . The team then moved to the playoffs, beating Acadiana 4-3. The following week brought on an– other victory when the Spartans defeated Airline 13-2. The Spartans were then defeated in the semi– finals by Denham Springs. The following members represented E.A. in the All District Team: first team: Marc Malbrough – catcher; Ronnie Brown - second baseman, Troy Bourque - outfield, Jodi Amedee - D.H., Gregg Patterson - first base and pitcher. Second team; Chuck Shive, Honorable mention; Wade Petite– third baseman. This year's team was led by Coach Myles Bourque who was named Coach of the Year.
