10 October 28, 1983, was a day brim– ming with excitement Students and teachers busily prepared for the fes– tivities which climaxed on homecom– ing day. The pep rally was particular– ly exciting, as Shelly Lanoux was crowned EA's 1983 homecoming queen. But the fun did not end at the pep rally. School dismissed at 12 and students rushed to decorate their cars. People crowded the streets to watch the annual homecoming parade, which featured the members of the homecoming court riding atop sports cars. Many students rode in decorated trucks, cars, and three-wheelers for the parade. J Left to Right: Seniors Julie Gautreaux l and Momca Stelly await the beginning of the pep rally. Freshmen cheer wtldly as the football team runs in. Terri Tucker, Krist! Bourque, Angela Latiolais and Paul Latiolais and Paul Kivett decorate their truck for the parade. Stephanie McDaniel, Marla Robtn, Julie Daigle, and Jill Allbritton sell homecoming but· tons. Members of the homecoming court peek through the curtains.
