56 Cartoon Capers Cartoon Capers, the beautifully decorat– ed theme of the 1983-84 Junior-Senior prom, was decided upon by the junior class officers. The prom committee decorated the gym with many colorful balloons, wood– en cartoon characters and scenes of cartoon characters stating things about the prom. The very original theme was illustrated with pages of cartoons from the newspaper strung above the crowd. James Schex– naydre aided by Becky Wright was selected to draw caricatures of the people who at– tended the prom. The out-of-state band who played for the prom was Nick-1-Beer.
