Another new principal arrives. The addition opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 1. Students collect 13,730 cans for the needy. The SGO announces the Homecoming court at the football game. Faculty considers eliminating the sixth period for science classes. Students sit on the floor during the the first "code red" drill. Seniors bring decorated cakes to the barbecue at Padonia Park. The varsity volleyball team wins the County Championships. Mr. David Papke hires a professional actress to play the Stage Manager in Our Town. Attendees fill a huge trash can with mittens attheWinterDance. The lacrosse teams challenge Towson High School at Minnegan Stadium. Freshman chose their colors, blue and orange. Sophomores receive their first symbol of high school at Ring Dance. Juniors sell cookie dough and sponsor a McDonald's night to raise money for prom. Seniors enjoy prom on their last half day of school. Writers' Guild and the Photo Club dissolve but make room for the newly formed National Art Honor Society, German Club, and the Swing Club. Though it brings about changes, the year maintains the traditions to lead the entire Dulaney community to be THE BEST OF WHAT'S AROUND ... -....-.......... _. ______ ...................... _.... ..... _ ..................

Junior ..ffe9an Route hold up a sign to encourage spirit at fall pep rally. The cheerleaders used the aids ofsign to enhance their performance and draw attention from the crowd. Both var ity and junior varsity squads performed at all pep rallies and sporting event . Proudi1J carr1Jin9 their cia banner, ophomore Kri tin Bondroff and Krista Heikkinen display their new class logan and color . Members of each class painted banners as well a many extracurricular clubs. The e banner were judged by a panel, with AHS winning. Fillim1 up their plate , eniors Jean Sneeringer, Lexi Miller, Maryn Mikula, and Shira Heffernan try a little of the buffet at Senior Barbecue. The location of the annual event, held on October 3, was switched from Oregon Ridge Recreational Park to Padonia Park.

In Australia Christmas is in the middle of the summer," sophomore Belinda Polson 13 "I seriously believe that this is the best play that Dulaney has done in years. The way that the actors came together was incredible. I have never seen another play here go so smoothly," sophomore lan Hogan 16 " I thought that the selection of the court would be nice at the dance because it would be a suprise," freshman Alison Boecker 23"1 signed to play lacrosse on scholarship for the Buckeyes next year. Despite tile difficultyof buyinq tiletictcets and qettinq to tile scene, students enjoyed SU1Il1Iler concerts "The Dave Matthews Band encored with "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan. I was really excited because that is my favorite song that they sing." - Andy Sanders, senior "I had a great time hanging out with my friends and my sister at the Dave Matthews concert. We all loved the concert, especially since they played the good songs."-Jon Spivey, sophomore miling happily, juniors Mary Bradbury, Kate Hummel, Jamie Bereska and Le lie Jackson leave the Dave Matthew Band concert. The concert was held at the issan Pavillion on August 22 and 23. osing for one last picture a group of juniors wait to leave the parking lot after the Dave Matthews Band concert. Concert scenes were notorious for being low at getting people out of the parking lots. Students often waited up to an hour to get on their way home. • ollapalooza is cancelled for the fir t time ever!" "Pearl Jam is touring again!" "Kiss reunites!" It was once again time for the summer concert season. Students were again plagued with the problem of getting tickets. Some tudents had problems getting rides to the concerts, some student couldn't get permission, and some just couldn't get tickets. "My parents didn't want my friends driving me to the concert because they didn't think I would be safe. They wouldn't allow me to go to the HFStival until two days before the concert. I got them to give in," sophomore Holly Campell said. Some concerts, like the HFStival and the Tibetian Freedom Concert sold out in half an hour, so either calling Ticketmaster as soon a the tickets go on sale or going to a Ticketmaster location early were
