Thomas Wootton High School 1975 Yearbook (Rockville, MD) - Full Access

Jess Delanoy Preseason hopes were high as the football season began. This year would be different, and indeed it was. The Patriots, led by captains Ed Flenner and Jim Brownlowe, had a very successful season. The team concluded with a 3-2 record in the league and a 4-6 record overall- the best in Wootton's five years. Wootton opened the season with a loss against Rockville, but came back with a strong defensive showing resulting in a decisive 12-0 victory over Einstein. Highlights of the season included wins against Walter Johnson, Kennedy and Whit– man. The Patriots dominated the game against Walter John– son, winning 13-6, and went on to defeat Kennedy with an exciting 19-16 win. The final game of the season was filled with enthusiasm as the Patriots beat Whitman . A well-coordinated offense. led by the passing of Bob Milk– ovich and the running of Don Truesdell and Rick Oidtman plus the fine performances of Bill Arendt, Jess Delanoy, Ted Tsan– garis, and Irwin Ellman, sparked Wootton to a rewarding sea– son.
