1 obs Provide Practical Experience Juniors and Seniors who were interested in actual on-the– job training elected to enter the Di tributive Education pro– gram. This program provided for half a day of classroom studying and a half day of working in busine es in the community. A job was found to suit each student's needs and wishes. Distributive Education majors studied merchan– dising and economics of distribution as well as several standard courses selected to fill the requirements for a com– mercial diploma. Four Whitman students and Mr. Park Glas attended the ational Leader hip Conference in Chicago. A observers they participated in work hop on topics from D.E.C.A. Week and Activitie to Fund Rai ing and Courte y. MR. PARK GLA , JR. Distributive Education; Consumer Mathematic ; Merchandi ing; Eco– nomics of Distribution; Distributive Education Club Eric Pinkus and Matt Nonnemacher absorb a lecture on economics of distribution in preparation for tl1e Di tributive Education State Leader· ship Conference examinations. "I'm going to close my eyes and count to ten, and then the .shelves had better be full again," orders Mr. Park Glass.
