The wind tunnel. unique in a Mar land high school, allowed rocketry enthu ia t to expo e their model aircraft to artificial flights before actual launching. When a nineteen-inch fan wa turned on wind blew through the tunnel at 100 feet per econd to imulate actual flight condition . Member of the club built the tunnel with urplu equipment donated by the David Taylor Model Ba in and from material bought with loan from the GA, the Mont– gomery Country Board of Education, the Wa hinoton Acad– emy of ciences, and the Whitman PTA. Men from Mars and Flatland were al o present in the weekly book-trading e ion. Stellar formations fa cinated participant in the aturday night conclave of the A tronomy Club. Through the club' tele cope, the amateur a tronorner noted the ever-changing po ition of con tellation .
