"Voulez-vous des animal crackers?" offers president Kendra Heymann as she passes the refreshments at French Honor Society meeting. Societies Distinguish Outstanding Linguists Capitula Garcia Lorca, Whitman's Spanish Honor Society, participated in "Operation inos", a program to aid needy children in Latin America. With the money raised by the ociety' bakes sales and with donations from Civitan and Interact, roofing materials were bought for a school in Co ta Rica. In the spring, the group tried the spicy Spanish food at El Bodegon restaurant. Compo ed of "A" average French IV or V seniors, the French Honor Society decided to speak only French at their monthly meetings. Members watched and listened to French film and speakers. "Bouillabaise" and "coq au vin" ap– peared when the society took advantage of a holiday to lunch at Le Petit Paris, a French restaurant in Washington; a rule that members speak French at the luncheon resulted in confused waiters and convul ed students.
