'66 Soccer Season Crushing their Nyack, New York, opponents in the first game of the season, the Whitman soccer team kicked off the beginning of a successful record. In the next three games, the victorious Vikings trounced Peary and Pooles– ville, and then lied Damascus. The team suffered their first losses when they met first and second place Walter Johnson and Albert Einstein. Concluding the remaining games with wins over Blair, Sasscer, Wakefield, and Bethesda-Chevy Chase, the team finished in third place in league play. Credited with the fine finish, were stars Luis Escobar, Bob Collins, Carlos Freixas, Paul Isaacson, and John Sears.
