Harriers Earn Seventh Place At State Meet Approaching the finish line, Pat Sullivan boosts the Vikings' chance for a Varsity Cross Country victory. Placing first in four of its seven season meets, the Varsity Cross Country team exhibited the results of miles of pre· season practice. The standard 2.6 mile run in each meet included teFrains from steep hills to city streets. Terry Cox's course record led the harriers through the tough competition of ten County high schools to a second place finish in the Montgomery County meet. Jim Finch placed third in the County. Closing the season at the Maryland State meet, the fleet·footed Vikings came in seventh out of the thirty schools which competed.
