Prophecy Our first stop was at our old Alma Mater, South Lake High. Walking into the familiar office we were re– ceived by the principal's private secretary,~ Gilson. She said the principal would be glad to see ~d indeed she was . Jeanette Norberg stopped her duties to talk to us . She had graduated "Cum Laude" from Michigan State . The girls counselor walked in, ~ ~ was now writing A and C absence excuses. We visited the com.mercial de– partment and Gloria Bedore was demonstrating the stenotype mac~o potential buyers. She said she received a letter from her palMaryJaneVan~, and that she was a bulliighter in Mexico . Leaving school we saw ~Schussler taking her twins for their dancing lesson at Donna Turrell's dance studio . We walked to the c~and hailed a taxicab . Weclimbedin and discovered the driver was Nancy Cassisse. She informed us that Luella Holmeswas raising chickens with Chuck, an"'d:fuat Carole Beck was the wife of the general in charge ~uPatio'nal forces in Germany . Nancy turned on the radio for our entertainment and we heard the voice of John Docherty, who was a disc jockey known to his fans as Platter Pete. As we drove along Nancy picked up another fare. It was Alberta LeBeau who was chief stock holder at Bell Telephone. On thewaydowntownwe saw a sign which read, ''Turk– ish Bath. ~~· proprietor." Downtown we picked up Valerie ~ who was decorating bulletin boards at city hall, and went to Belle Isle for a stroll. We found that Ronald Lee was taking toll at the bridge, and arriving on the island, we saw Nancy~ as the engineer of the kiddies train . Out for a night of fun we went to the Motor City Speedway to watch the hot-rod races Robert~ was challenging the record of Iggy Katona with ~ Douglas and ~ Hegeman as his com– petitors. After the race we went to a theatre down– town for a stage show. Marvin Johnson was featured as the trombonist in Louis Armstrong's Hot Six. Feeling very famished after our day of fun, we stopped at Okie's drive-in to get a quick snack. We were immediately waited on by Majorie Strelow, who had established herself as head car-hop after ten years of faithful service. We then returned to St. Clair Shores, and pass– ing the Civic Center we were attracted by a large crowd, and upon entering we watched Bob Dame row as he pinned a coursage on ~ Walsh, Miss St. Clair Shores.
