38 The purpose of the band is to provide the opportunity for students to broaden their education through music and to provide an outlet for those students with special musical talent. All students have an equal opportunity to participate in the instru– mental program. The functions of the band are as follows: 1. Play for the football games. 2. Participate in the Thanksgiving and Christmas programs. 3. Play for pep meetings and other assemblies. 4. Put on annual concert. 5. Play for Easter program. 6. Baccalaureate and graduation exercises.
