On April 7, the 1962 Washington Club began a long awaited and anticipated week of gaiety and adventure in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg. The 243 seniors arrived at their first destination, New York City, by both plane and train, and at once they began to reap the rewards for all the efforts that they put forth. In the "big city," they reaped such noted rewards as a Broadway play, tours of lower Manhattan, and the United Nations Building, a boat trip around Manhattan Island, and a visit to Radio City Music Hall. While in Washington, D.C. they toured sev– eral public buildings, among them being the White House, Federal Bureau of Investigation office, Mount Vernon, and the Capitol. All of these rewards, plus the satisfaction gained by each individual member, will never be forgotten for many years to come.
