History makes men WISe. "The paramount aim of the social studies de– partment is to motivate the student in thinking about, and interpreting, world and domestic problems. To enable the student to get a broader view of what is going on in the world today we offer such electives as world history, modern history, current history, geography, in– ternational relations, and economics. "Areas treating the domestic nature of the social studies field are Family Living, Social Problems, and a course called Social Studies which is required of all sophomores on the Gen– eral Program. ' It is true that the great percent of history is fact, but we use this element primarily as a basis for tying up the past to the present." 18 Mr. Tom Wilson is very serious about a point in history. - ~·~
