Although getting off to a slow start at the begin– ning of the year, the little Pioneers came back very strong towards the end of the season. The J.V.'s were defeated by Lansing Eastern 20- 12 in the first game. It was 31-14 with Ann Arbor on the losing end again in the second game as they fell before Monroe. In the third game the little Pioneers buckled down and fought for a 6-6 tie with Lansing J.V.'s roll on to another victory. 44 Everett. The J.V.'s blanked Livonia-Bentley 18-0 and Jackson 13-0. In the final game of the year the little Pioneers beat Ypsi 38-12 in a hard fought game. Mr. Frank Kline, the head coach, with his assist– ant, Mr. Jerry Budzik, did a fine job helping the boys overcome their defeats and move to three straight victories towards the end of the season. J.
