Pioneers come to Margaret Nelson tells Lou Winkelhaus, "I think it goes like this." life at fun nights. Friday nights the records were dusted off, Student Coun– cil members gathered to sell tickets, and the recreation room doors were swung open while Pioneers poured in to dance and celebrate their school's foot– ball and basketball victories. Besides the Student Council, the Washington Club helped during the dances by caring for the soda bar. Club members who gave their time during the dances earned work hours towards their trip in the spring. Pioneer disc jockeys helped by spinning stomp and twist records for the happy Pioneers.
