Row Two: Sue Gayes, Chris Caster, Randy Hepworth, Bruce Cavar, Barb Birkle, Ted Letis , Mary Nourse, Kathy Dickinson, Nikii Murtaugh, Margaret Flanders, Sue Freimarch, Raynette Gilbert, Nancy Joiner, M a r y 48 The Ann Arbor High School Band opened its 1961-62 season with the an– nual band camp at Interlochen, Michi– gan, in preparation for pre-game and half-time shows during the footbal sea– son. After the football season, the band separated into the Concert Band, con– ducted by Mr. Clarence Roth, and the Pioneer Band, conducted by Mr. John Jenkins. The Concert Band participated in the district and state band festivals winning many first division ratings. On March 21, an entertaining band assembly was held in which many of the festival selec– tions were played. The band also par– ticipated in the annual all-city "Bands In Review" on March 30. Harper.
