Third Row: Cross country is a sport which in– cludes hard workouts, a sense of de– termination, and goals. The Comet cross country team this year had all of these elements. They were the key to their successful season. The Comets fi– nished in third place in the West Side Championships and fifth in the All-City Competition. Pete Banko, Dave Dom– za1, Dale Rahn and Matt Jastrzembski contributed most in making this possi– ble. Returning next year, Pete Banko, should lead the team to another success– ful season. Although John Wright was hampered by an injured knee during most of the season, here he posts a fine finish by sprinting ahead of his competition. 98
