Shortages Cause Brief Season GIRLS GOLF Miss Lois Hosmer (Coach), Linda Wood, Candy Richter. Linda Wood listens carefully as her coach, Miss Lois Hos– mer, explains the correct grip for a good drive. Candy Richter, one of the members of the golf team, demonstrates the correct upward swing before the drive. This year Cody's girls' golf team played three matches. The usual season consists of four or five matches but because of the delay in school starting and a shortage of girls on the team several matches had to be cancelled. The three that were played had to be forfeited because there were onJy two girls on the team. Despite the fact that there were only two girls on this year's golf team, they showed great school spirit and determination. The team consisted of Candy Richter and Linda Wood. Practice for the girls begins in the spring and the matches are played in the faJJ. More girls are needed for the team next year and Miss Hosmer is urging all interested girls to try out.
