Frank Cody High School 1968 Yearbook (Detroit, MI) - Full Access

A Time for Fond Memories The beginning of 1968 was not only the beginning of a new year, but also the beginning of a new life for 249 graduat– ing seniors of Cody. To some it meant pursuing their chosen career, and to oth– ers cQntinuing their education. "Oh brave new world to have such people in it", by Shakespeare, was the commencement theme that Jacqueline Unitis and Frank Clerc chose for their speeches. The commencement exercises were held on the evening of January 31 in Cody's auditorium. Mr. Donaldson, assisted by the graduates' respective counselors, presented the diplomas. To the graduates the diplomas meant that their high school days were now only fond memories. The graduating class had chosen Gary Caperton as its president, Linda Snitgen as vice-president, Jacqueline Unitis as corresponding secretary, Kim Otristoph– er as recording secretary, and Candice Bush as treasurer. Awaiting their diplomas, seniors reflect upon their years at Cody, the friends they've made, and the life ahead of them. Addressing his fellow classmates for tire last time, Frank Clerc delivers a speech on the challenge of tomorrow. Here Mr. George Donaldson, assisted by Mr. Hija, confers a di– ploma and Iris congratulations for a job well done. 120
