The Cody Star, sponsored by Miss Ruth Winter, publishes monthly news of interest to the students and faculty of Cody High School. The goal of the Star, as stated in its platform, is "to present the news ac– curately and impartially and to cooperate with the school in fostering loyalty, in promoting worthy activities and uphold– ing the traditions and ideals of Cody High School." The forty-six staff members cover all areas of interest by including sports, club activities, scholastic achievements, fine arts activities, and student and faculty opinions. Gary Dawes (staff photographer) snaps a picture of Helen Tomaszew- ski who has been writing the new Exchange Corner for this year. Probably the best-known and most– read article in the Star is the section on the letters to the editor. This section is devoted to the students who wish to voice their opinions on subjects in and about Cody High School. 78
