Moonlight Was in Style The end of the prom is signaled by the crowd waiting to re– trieve their coats. The coat checking was handled by seniors. Angela Stobbe sips a cup of punch as she chats with a friend between dances. The balloons added the traditional festive air. The life of a junior is a serious one. He has survived the giddy days of the tenth grade but when he looks ahead and sees seniors struggling with their honor classes, he knows he'd better get in training. One event, however, relieves the pres– sure. The junior prom arrives to put some glamour in this life. This year "Moonlight Frost" was the theme for the dance which took place nine days before Christmas. The gym was decorated with blue and white ballons and streamers. The enter– tainment was provided by two bands which are "The Ultrasonics" and "The Hearsemen." The Prom was sponsored by the Cody Parents Club. The students from the· junior class helped the Parents. They were Phyllis Elwart, chairman, and Sylvia Swartz, co– chairman. Members of the senior class also lent a helping hand by checking coats and serving the punch and cookies. Both spon– sors and students joined in making this evening an enjoyable one. A slow, sentimental dance was the perfect ending to a lovely evening for many juniors who attended this special occasion. 81
