The Girls' Choir Sang on Concert Night ROW I: Colleen Backus, Kathy Sullivan, Rita Hovis, Sheila Manty, Sharon Schmidt. ROW 2: Ruth Blom, Desiree LopeL, Barb Spurlin, Cindy Larson. ROW 3: Barb Hudler, Barb Bong, Margie Proulx, Carol John&on, Mary Bernicke. The Girls' Choir consisting of 50 members and under the dtrection of Mr. Schroeder, put in another year of hard work preparing for concerts, tudying directing techniques, and improving their sound. Among the selections sung by the group in the Christmas Concert, Dec. 16 were "Swedish Crad le Song" and "Chine e Christmas Lullabye." Spring brought another concert and more songs to learn. In April 20 the chorus per– formed four numbers including "Domine Deus" and "Swing Low Blues.' An ensemble selected from the full group, entered the District and Regional music contest receiving for the first time, a superior rating.
