Jury Reform Topic for Debators Pat Coldwell The Cloquet debate team participated in five meets a t Hibbing, Supefior State, Duluth Central, Univer ity of Minnesota, Minneapolis and Silver Bay under the direction of Mr. Trolander. They placed high in most competi– tions including a fifth place at Superior State. The topic for this year's debators was, Re– solved: that the jury system in the United States shou ld be significantly changed . The procedure for the debator was changed thi year from the traditional affirmative and negative team to the single team effort where they take the negative side for the first part of the year and affirmative stand for the second half. Becau e junior debator Kathi John on and Pat Coldwell, as well as, ophomore debators Bruce Diesen, Kathy Hiti, Mike Port and Brian Norton will be returning next year, the chances for a good upcoming season are great.
