The English Teachers Make Classes Practical Cecil Jons; B.S., Augustana College; M.A., U of Ariz. As Well As Fun. ~q; The English department, as usual offered a variety of interesting course and pre– sented many methods for teaching English on the senior high school level. Some teach– ers endorsed the contract system that al– lowed the student to work at his own pace and in many cases finish the course in less time than was prescrobed. Each student was still required to take a specified number of composition, literature, grammar and speech credits for graduation. Mrs. Skoglund was the EngHsh teacher in the newly formed Life Center this year. She taught the students during their struc– tured small g roups. Ruth Anderson; B.S. University or Minn.
