Roosevelt High School 1977 Yearbook (Minneapolis, MN) - Full Access

Talent, time, ambition, imagination, dedication, and an ability to enjoy some fun are all qualities of a great yearbook staff. This year's staff combined to re- cord the 1976 - '77 school year into an annual which best portrays all the activi- ties at Roosevelt. It's no secret that Roosevelt has the largest school in Minneapolis and consistently produces one of the best yearbooks every year. This year's "Sagamore" is no exception and continues the fine tradition of Being and Becoming a Ted. Since an annual is a book of pic- tures, the staff works with about 15,000 pictures during a year. Our photographers try to secure pictures of every activity at Roosevelt or involving our students out- side the building, but on school business. The year- book staff is assigned its own room in this building and al- so has a storage area adapted to bC' used as a darkroom. The H. Larson Studio per- sonnel assist our staff in all phases of the photography for the yearbook, including taking group and activity pictures at Roosevelt, train- ing our staff photographers, and supplying complete darkroom supplies. When there is a problem regarding publication details, Chuck Robinson is on 24-hour a day call and the staff often uses its private telephone for emergency assistance from Chuck. Even with all of this expert assistance and all the time invested in assembling the yearbook, deadlines are an earth-shaking experience. The staff is delighted when a "deadline" party is cele- brated and another step for- ward has been taken in the great march to spring and the BIG day of our year, dis- tribution of 1, 400 copies of our yearbook.
